WOW just wow… Ok so anyone that has done any kind of climbing that sees this movie will just be freaking out. This is an amazing achievement but could so easily have ended very tragically.
Throughout the whole movie, there is a tension that you can’t escape because the whole time you know that this guy, Alex Harnold, is going to climb one of the biggest most intense climbs in the world with no safety at all.
Really worth the watch and even though this list is not in a specific order this one is right at the top for a reason.

The Dawn Wall – 2018
The Dawn Wall is an epic film of grit and determination from some of the best climbers in the world. You will be punching the air with excitement watching these two guys take on the Dawn Wall of El Capitan.
The film of this achievement is amazing and it’s so great that they chose to film this awesome feat. This is the pinnacle of climbing, pushing the edge of what is possible in the world of big wall climbing.

Meru – 2015
Meru is a high-stakes high-cost movie that pushed these climbers to the edge of what they can handle. From the great directing of Jimmy Chin, the 3 climbers including Jimmy himself tackle the epic peak of Mount Meru.
The visuals will have you in awe of the beautiful landscape. This is an epic, award-winning film and that’s why we have it near the top of our list.

This is a historical film that should be required watching for all new and even veteran climbers. An origin story of one of the biggest and most epic extreme sports in the world. From the days when climbing was just something that rebels did, it gives a unique perspective of the amazing global sport that we all now take for granted.

Pretty Strong – 2019
This is another one that will have you feeling good all the way through. It’s awesome to see a movie focused on women in the climbing world.
All the climbers in this movie are inspirational and the visuals are breathtaking.

Like all the films on this list this one will keep you watching just with the amazing visuals. The story of a troubled but very dedicated climber. A story about a real man, someone with issues and problems like everyone else that had a passion for climbing massive peaks all around the world.

A Film that will make you feel insignificant to the grandeur of this world.
3 men set out to climb what is said to be the most difficult climb in the world, the southeast face of the mountain Cerro Torre.
